What is mindfulness practice?
Activities with full awareness
Mindfulness practices involve intentionally engaging in activities with ones full attention and awareness in the present moment, without getting caught up in thoughts relating to the past or future. Mindfulness practices can be integrated into various activities such as meditation, body movement, breathing exercises, and when we are eating. Additionally, we can apply mindfulness to the different situations we find ourselves in, including when communicating with others or when we are managing mental distress or agitation.
Through the practice of mindfulness, we can develop a heightened level of mental focus, clarity, and self-awareness. This enables us to regulate and control our emotional responses, leading to a greater sense of emotional balance and happiness.
